Quality VS Quantity Part 2. Turning low grade into a sleeper.

    Exactly my point, not necessarily for his coin or your coin, but in general. For you, would you gain more in value from the increased rating (maybe even a 66!!) to justify the expense? How subjective are the ratings in the upper MS grades?

    I think that this was the excuse used to crack out coins from the older (first generation) holders. There is, many times, a significant price jump between a '64 and a '65 (depending on the series) and much more so with a bump up to '66 so for the savy, eagle eye collector, doing something like this would pay for itself.
