A bronze As of Q.MARC.LIBO arrived today. I liked that most of the name could be read. It goes well with the denarius of the same series I bought about 6 years ago. Roman Republican As, 145 BC, Rome Obv - Janus head Rev - Prow R; above [Q].MARC, MA in monogram; before - LIBO; below - ROMA Cr 215/2b, the difference between 2a and 2b is the mark of value to the left of the prow on the reverse. This coin is weakly struck on that side where the casting sprew was removed. If I have a good imagination, I can see the top of the I. Roman Republican Denarius, 145 BC, Rome Obv - Roma R; behind LIBO; before mark of value - X Rev - Dioscuri R; below Q.MARC, MA in monogram; in linear frame - ROMA Cr 215/a Grade aEF Centering Well centered Strike Good strike from new dies. Flan flaws No major flaws. Style Typical Patination light toning Damage none
Congrats, rrdenarius => those are both very cool coins!! => I love the new RR As ... very sweet (ya gotta love Janus coins, eh?)
