Today, I bought from a friend, this Celtic obol, 0,30 gr, silver..In my opinion, very rare coin.. Beautiful and charming..
Great coin, that simple, graceful, quintessentially Celtic semi-abstracted rendering of the horse really is nice for such an unusually small Celtic coin. Charming and cute little silver nugget, congrats on the acquisition! What era do you think it dates from? What is the diameter, 6 or 7mm? And what is the design on the other side supposed to be? I can't really make sense of it. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Plumbata...Its nearly 7 mm in diameter..Here is a similar one from Nomos auction.. https://nomosag.com/default.aspx?page=ucAuctionDetails&auctionid=11&id=5&p=1&s=&ca=0&type=webauction
