Purchased last night - grade it.

    Thanks for sharing with me on the new coin. I think that we are all in agreement about the coin being worthy of AU to low MS with nice original toning of an 1837 coin with unknown luster because of the DLRC scan.

    The price was like $474 plus the 15% which made it $545 total. The TPG grade is AU55.

    My opinion of the DLRC photo was AU58. When I get the coin in hand & if there is something really compelling to report, then I'll add to this thread.

    BTW, The coin is currently in an old small white ANACS holder graded AU55. I have other seated liberty dimes & they are ALL in NGC holders. Therefore, I'll probably eventually send it to NGC. If the TPG grade changes to anything but 55 or 58, then I'd post it.

    Very nice coin. I personally love the toning! I'd have guessed AU-58. I'd be proud to have that in my type set. :)
