Alas, why do such things only happen to other people?

It is a 2013 1/20th ounce gold Britannia. I chose this as my first gold coin due to its beauty and low mintage. Since I was buying on eBay I also made sure I got a graded one to make sure it was authentic.
Come visit New Hampshire and while you're here, you can buy some gold and not pay sales tax.
It's only a matter of time. I'm not a major CRH enthusiast, but if you look at a box of coins every other week, you'll have your share of successes. Mini-dumps and the occasional significant find. I've found gold in nickels, silver in cents, plenty of variety and error coins. This Ducat is among my more significant finds, but it's only worth spot (around $120). The variety coins have been the bigger finds over the years, but being part of a small number of folks who struck gold during a CRH event; that's kind of fun. But I'll take another 1917 DDO or another Henning nickel over another Ducat.
