At one time this was my "best" conditioned coin - well struck from good dies, centered and well preserved. I let a non collector look at the coin and she pressed it between her thumb and two fingers. I am not sure why, but it came back in two pieces. The coin was crystallized. You can see this at 10 on the reverse.
