Did you check the box that states you read and agree to the terms and conditions of the sale. I'm guessing you didn't and that's why it took you back to the cart.

I did... The problem is that they don't accept credit cards for orders under $1,500.

Maybe it's because I tried using a debit card?

Yes they do, you are reading the chart wrong. It is saying there is no cash discount for credit card orders between 1-$1500

That 'NO' is in regards to whether or not you receive the cash discount pricing. They certainly do accept Credit cards or a debit card that has a CC branding on it for purchases. One thing that may have occurred; that is the only reason I could think of it not processing is that they tried doing a simple verification of your card for an amount larger than your purchase. If this failed as your bank account didn't have the necessary funds even though your order wasn't that large they wouldn't process the order anyway is my speculation.

    Q:
What forms of payment do you accept?

    A:
Payment Type Amount Cash Discount (what is this?)
    Bank Wire Over $2,000 Yes
    Electronic Check Orders $1-$20,000* Yes
    Personal Check Orders $1-$20,000 Yes
    Cashier’s Checks Orders $1- $20,000 Yes
Money Orders Orders $1- $20,000 Yes
Credit Card Online orders $1-$1,500** No
*Electronic check is only available to customers who meet a certain set of criteria. If you have met the criteria, the electronic check option will be an available option upon checkout. Electronic checks still need to be held as we are not notified of invalid account numbers or insufficient funds for 5 business days. This means that, even though you will see the charge on your account the next day, we are not notified of that. We only receive notification of returned electronic checks which takes 5 business days.

**If you would like to place a credit card order over $1,500, you will need to call during normal business hours of 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday. It will be subject to a $12.95 fee for Restricted Delivery. Restricted Delivery requires identification to be shown upon receipt of your package. These additional measures are being taken to protect our customers from fraudulent activity and to allow Provident Metals to continue to offer the most competitive prices in the industry. To avoid this fee and get a cash discount, please pay with a bank wire, money order, cashier's check, or personal check.

Provident will accept an ACH transfer. Basically it's an electronic check. You need your bank acct # and the routing # off of the check. You will get the discounted price. It's the same as using a debit card, the money comes out of your account, and you don't have to pay the credit/debit card surcharge.
