    1. Can anyone tell me anything about the Disinger collection or who was Disinger?
    2. A couple of years ago I purchased this Hadrian Aegyptos as. The dealer said the collection was formed in the 1930s. The coin came with an old Baldwins tag (sale price 1 GBP!) and marked 'ex Disinger coll.'
    3. The only reference to Disinger I can find is a minute from a Royal Numismatic Society meeting of 16 February 1939 in which a William Gilbert exhibited an Augustus denarius also 'ex Disinger Coll.'
Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

This Foster Disinger seems to have been a photographer in New York in the early decades of the 20th century.
