protecting your collection???

    Huge mistake - don't ever do that !! And if the dealer you are visiting told you that - I'd suggest that you look for a new dealer.

    You bet I will.
    It came about because I had a bu coin he wanted for his collection. I actually had 15 of the same coin with the same anomaly... so I took it out of the album and handed it to him.
    He was horrified that I touched it and said soap and water will clean it okay.
    That is why I gave the wrong information...
    and thanks bunches for letting me know.
