Don't keep the penny, but I'd keep the dime. The dime is not worth over face value if it's out of its proof case. I just like to keep things like that. YOUR CHOICE!
I'd keep the cent, those made for circulation San Francisco from the 1970's are hard to find in change.
They are not too common in circulation, I keep the ones I find and throw into a roll. Got my nickel roll nearly half full.
I like saving the copper cents. Even if I'm never able to sale them for the metal, I can always exchange them for a nice coin if I get enough. There are a couple of the S coins like you found that I need for my 4th and 5th Lincoln cent.
This is my dog Blue...she was hungry! Back to subject: Personally, I would keep the dime in my coin collection to sell/trade. I would put the 1972S cent in my copper bullion pile. Either way, you are out 11 cents, but have upward potential for future value...
