Proof Morgan Silver Dollar

    Does anyone know how to tell the different from a Proof Morgan Silver Dollar ? What do I look for ? Does anyone have a picture of it ? Any different from PL or DMPL ? Any help would be grateful.

    Sharp edges, raised rims.
    There are also die diagnostics on many dates that can be used to identify a proof.

    Beautiful coins C-B-D. It seems they are tougher on Proofs than they are on business strike Morgans.

    Red Book has a list of all dates of what years Proof Morgan dollar were issued. Some dates are graded Deep mirror like or Proof like only due to great strike and a place in bag that caused no post mint damage For regular issued. Proof issued still were spent that how PR 50 - 58 or lower can be found proofs sometimes get in wrong bags Before they where load and sent out by trains.
