Proof Morgan dollar?

I don't care about upper grade or such, I try to get a decent coin for my type set

I think this morgan has a nice luster to it and a great PL look to it, this is why I think it to be a MS65+. I do not know if the marks are on the coin or not. I think the marks are on the paching. Don

Don't put it down. Absolutely nothing wrong with it having a place in your collection.

 

This is an example of a high grade Morgan of that date.

 

While it may not be a "Proof" it is "Proof-like". Very beautiful.

 

That is a great looking MS65PL morgan you have. It a beautiful coin.

 

I am not always right when grading coins.

 

Thanks, I own 6 of that date, and I think this one is the nicest. I did own a MS 67, but it was nowhere as nice, and also have a MS 64 DMPL of this date.

 

I have three Morgan's, one of them I had graded, it came out with a G5. This one is 1879 CC, I got this when I was in England back in 72, it really looks like a fine 20, I think it was under graded. The other are a 1878 and a 1883. One of these day I well sent them in to be graded. Money is a little tight now right now. I just sent in my 2016w and some other coin in to be graded.
