I'd found a misattribution on a pop 1 variety months ago spotted on auction at GreatCollections. I notified Ian Russell and the listing was pulled. I'd expected the coin to make its way back to PCGS for correction....Wrong!! This coin reappeared a week ago on Ebay. I've twice notified the seller, a well known player in the industry. No response. The coin in question is in fact the 1953 Proof Lincoln FS-101 DDO Graded PR65 CAM, improperly attributed as a Pop 1 FS-402 Re-Engraved Design. I'm including a close of image of the coin in question, along with 3 images of known examples, to avoid any doubt. Here's a link to the listing: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/132862610207 Best Cass
Yes, more of a public service announcement. Seems there's more interest here in bashing the new PCGS president than in protecting the hobby. I see this type of thing all the time and these so called expert dealers should be ashamed.
