RIC 17 Bust type F var (reverse legend)</p><p><br /></p><p>3.62 g. 23.64 mm. 0 degrees</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]1278641[/ATTACH] </p><p><br /></p><p>This new example with an additional I at the end of the reverse legend is not noted in any examples in RIC or Bastien nor in any of the Bastien Supplements.</p><p><br /></p><p>The style placces it in Emission 4 with the other coins above.</p><p><br /></p><p>The elaborate bust types are all very different from the standard Curiassed only varieties that dominate the earlier and later issues</p><p><br /></p><p>Obv:– IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG, Radiate, helmeted, cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield, horseman on shield</p><p>Rev:– ABVNDANTIA AVG, Abundantia standing right, emptying cornucopiae</p><p>Minted in Lugdunum (IIII) Emission 5 Officina 4.
