probus ad 276-282

    Given I pay in euros not in dollars, I think 20 quid for that Probus is a fair price. Should I want to buy one, I would be glad to pay that price. Good catch IMHO

    For a roman antoninanus of that quality, I wouldn't have felt much like an idiot for paying £20 for it before I started working in the trade and had access to greater discounts than other people... I think people who think this was a rip off have perhaps had their perspective skewed by the fact that being a numismatist for a living gives you access to greater bargains than most non-trade people...
