Probable lacquered coin.

    I have this and have only used it a few times (the old Blue Ribbon) and have used it a few times. It is pretty sticky. That's why I like Coin Care as it is more solvent based and settles nicely. I will remove the oil and rephoto tonight and post here so everyone could see the difference

    From what I understand, that's part of the reason BR works so well (i.e. it is more viscous/sticky). It doesn't migrate/run off the coin like the newer/thinner stuff.

    CoinCare is more fluid and oily.

    BR is used by more copper folks than you could imagine. Those that are honest will admit this.

    It plays hell on your pics tho, you really dont want a pic of an oily coin on your listing or website, you have to learn to blot it dry. Properly and without hairlines.
