That's because it's all too easy to fool people on forums into thinking you know more than you really do. All too often some forum members will start to call this member or that member or that member an expert. It's like the use of the word rare - people call coins rare that are no more rare than grass that is green.</p><p><br /></p><p>And that especially includes me. I have been called an expert hundreds of times, not just here, but on the NGC forum and the PCGS forum too. And quite a few forums that don't even exist anymore. But I am no expert in anything to do with coins ! And I have repeatedly said that. And anyone who thinks "they" are an expert, needs to actually meet somebody who really is. It was also pretty unusual for them to disagree with me. What I mean by that is that I would grade a raw coin and the TPG pretty much always agreed with my grade.
