Would $90 be too much to pay for this coin. It has a rim ding on the obverse above the B.

I think it is a nice coin--the rim ding might be enough to prevent it from grading if you want it slabbed.

    Is the price fair?

Decide what you think the coin would grade and look it up on Heritage to find out. Might take you all of 5 minutes.

The ding is not too bad from what it appears. I don't know which "type" it is, as there where two, but if it's a type I, it would be worth $90. It has a very nice patina.

Hard to say from these pics... But is be more concerned about the cleaning... The surfaces are dead, dull, and cleany IMO.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking that as well.....very dull in the luster department. Overdipped??

This was my first thought as well. The surfaces look really dead to me.

At $90 it's no bargain but not taking you to the cleaners either.
FOR THE GRADE the price is at the top end.

BUT when I first saw it I thought "possibly dipped".

IMO pass on it and look for another.
