Pretty cool contemporary counterfeit 3 cent silver on eBay

Nice coin. I have something interesting to add. I'm thinking the one I'm posting was possibly made by the same guy but with a different die. Take a look at the F in (OF). That one letter looks to match on both coins. Can't see much more that does match. I'm thinking it was the same letter punch. Cool stuff.

IMO, no match. No telling who made these. IMO, two different engravers.

 

Gerry Fortin is listing a more worn one for $125. That's a good deal there.

 

No i never did. I did that with a dealer not too long ago and he wasnt real impressed. He didnt like being told his coin was counterfeit cause im "just a young guy who knows nothing"

I'm thinking so. You can see similar serif irregularities with the same letters, on both your example and the OP coin.
