I think I&#039;ll go for the eight, keep it in even numbers, and at least one with a CC and O mintmarks. </p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve done a little reading on the coin&#039;s history so far.&nbsp; I&#039;ve read a couple of articles on Thomas Sully (he was the man in his day) and Christian Gobrecht.&nbsp; I didn&#039;t realize they were so popular in their day, and it is speculated their popularity resulted in the trade dollar being seated also when done by Gobrecht.</p><p><br /></p><p>By the time I get these done Mateo should be finished with his 20th Century Type Set and committed his information and grading on the BF Half Dollar to memory. Once this is done my actual collecting days will be about over. </p><p><br /></p><p>I do plan on going back through my entire collection and attempt to do any upgrades I feel is necessary, do a small amount of work on IHCs, and work on educating my son.&nbsp; We may end up educating each other, but that is okay too.</p><p><br /></p><p>How did I come about picking the Seated Liberty I&#039;m sure all of you are wondering and on the edge of your seats at this point.&nbsp; Actually I read a post Lehigh made stating he didn&#039;t care for them.&nbsp; I knew what they are, but never checked them out much.&nbsp; So out of curiosity I started looking at them, and I&#039;m actually quite impressed with them. It&#039;s a good thing we all don&#039;t to collect the same coins.</p><p><br /></p><p>Recently Mateo (my son by the way for those of you who don&#039;t know) got all of the family&#039;s collection out and set them out.&nbsp; We called it our first family coin collection show and only invited the family (all five of us).&nbsp; It consisted of a little over 550 coins.&nbsp; State quarters, Roosevelt dimes, aand Memorial cents make up the bulk of it, so I won&#039;t be quittting my night shift job if I would sell them all.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>It took us a couple of hours to set up properly, and we were going to videotape the collection. Low and behold the video camera battery wouldn&#039;t take a charge.&nbsp; We still had fun with it, and my wife was quite impressed with it and how much Mateo had learned.&nbsp; We are thinking about doing it again next year if we have a family reunion. </p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;m certainly up to anyone posting any of their ideas on any type of sets like I mentioned in another series.&nbsp; This is not locked in concrete yet.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
