Yeah, I really like the detail in the hair. Bought it from a closing coin shop back in 2015 along with a bunch of other stuff.
Yes, I did. And I see where you're coming from on a few points, but I'm concerned your whole thought process might have become overly politicized, just as it has with the folks at the extreme ends on both sides. (I'm not calling you an extremist.) Want to be a centrist? I think the numismatic centrists would rather just talk about coins. Let's not make stuff political where it doesn't need to be. Leave the politics in numismatics on the Bryan dollars and HTTs and CWTs and Conders. Politics, allowed to age a few generations and seasoned with hindsight, mellows into history. But if it's uncorked too soon, you get straight vinegar. Peace be upon you, VKB. You'll be OK. Take a deep breath. We'll all be OK.
LOL! YOU try working every day for 203 of the least genuine, most duplicitous people your state can find, and see what it does to you.
I can only imagine. In my time working in upscale resorts, I've encountered plenty of the elite and overprivileged. Most of them aren't truly bad people but I'm happier not to have to deal with the really entitled, whiny ones most of the time. Small wonder I chose to become a night auditor on the graveyard shifts, when there are fewer people to deal with. I don't know who said the original quote I'm paraphrasing, but the more people I meet, the more I prefer the company of my cats and dogs.
Yes, now modify that with the fact that the people I work around all think they're "special" because they got more votes than the "other guy". 203 people utterly convinced they're the smartest guy (or gal) in the room.
