I’m hoping this is the right forum! I recently sold a coin to someone in Israel and went to post at a UK Post Office the other day and was told that I couldn’t send a coin to Israel. Can anyone please offer some advise on this as I have to complete a customs form.

    Thanks in advance

Don`t tell them at the Post Office its a coin.

On the customs form write "Numismatic Item"

I`ve sent coins to Israel for 13 years without a problem.

Thank you very much! I’m very new to this and hadn’t expected restrictions on something like that!
It is a self service P.O. that I use so that should be fine.

I am (being in Israel) receiving coins from UK for 8 years now, no problems at all.

I'd go to another post office now since the employee(s) may remember you and what you were trying to send from the first time around.
