In all fairness @paddyman98 I am in Germany, so US coins here are foreign coins. And also, technically, the US is also part of the world and this does say World error coins. I think I'll hold off on posting US ones, but I do love seeing them.
I just bought this for <$7 (thank you everyone for not bidding against me!). It looks like a DDO and since it’s from the country I live in, I just had to. These are the seller’s photos; I’ll post my own when it arrives.
1821 Heller, Frankfurt Germany. I probably overpaid at $40, but I saw it and just decided I had to have it. Seller's photos:
Not sure what this one is but it is off center. And a rotated die. Picked these two up last weekend at the flea market.
Isn't much to see by my rookie eye's but the offset is apparent. I flipped it like you would a US coin. I can make out a "T" between the two holes with the letters adjacent to it indistinguishable.
If you have a diameter, you can probably find it pretty easily in numista's advanced search. What's the diameter? I'm pretty sure it's late 1700s France 1/2 or 1 Sol. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces40923.html https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5466.html
29mm so it is a 1 Sol. 1777-1791 WOW! I have a coin that is at least 220 years old! Thanks for the info Seattlite!
