Yes, the coin is unnaturally glossy and doesn&#039;t have much cartwheel luster. It has very original die erosion lines that don&#039;t appear to have been disturbed by cleaning.</p><p><br /></p><p>But, it is also a dead ringer for <a href="https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-explorer/indian-cents-1859-1909-pscid-17/1882-1c-ms-coinid-12142" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-explorer/indian-cents-1859-1909-pscid-17/1882-1c-ms-coinid-12142" rel="nofollow">the plate coin on the NCG web site</a>. It has the same color and the same glossiness.
