I do not remember exactly how much I paid for this 1804 half cent 'spiked-chin' variety, but it was certainly below $35.
For $1.38, i figured 'why not?' Lol At a minimum, it has about 90 cents worth of silver, plus I like it.
Not pictured, but got a 1971-S Proof Ike in a Littleton plastic bag for $1 (might give the guy another dollar, to keep him feeding me silver coins at 10x face). The 4 pictured below, I picked up for just over $20.
Picked this up last Saturday at the show well worth the $25, I highly recommen this book if you'r a buffalo collector.
I thought it might be silver so for $5 it’s worth a shot. Anyone have any info on this one? About the size of a silver dollar
Looks fake to me. Good advice is to stay FAR FAR FAR away from Chinese silver dollars. The vast majority are fake.
The good folks on the World Coin forum believe it's a cast fake of a 1917 Chinese Sinkiang Province Dollar
Well im sure tney had lots of practice knocking off theirs coinage way before knocking off everything we have minted. Truly amazing the amount of fakes out there.....
