The top image of the 1906 is a still photo. Since the colors in a .gif animation have to be reduced into just 256 colors I usually try to post a single frame that has full color accuracy. I didn’t do that for the 1901 IHC. Here’s a shot of the 1901 that is more appropriate for diagnostics.
And now a word from our scuzzy finds:$24.94 Comp from Holmes Comp from Holmes This is my second S-156 R5+ though I believe my other is a unique subvariety with a gripped edge. I'll show it just because I gave myself an opportunity by mentioning it: S-156
I went to the LCS to pick up some cent holders for some newly acquired Indian Head cents (such as the one in post #1824). In change, Scott gave me a couple of bucks from a five and two dimes in flips. This is one of them which he said he extracted from a mint set. So, not a proof, and not a business strike ... not exactly, anyway. A full-color still photo. And an animated one with a little less color fidelity.
E-Bay + Littleton Coins = Cherrypick. Variety: DDO CONECA: DDO-001 FS-10-1963-101. CherryPicker's Guide, 5th ed. Vol. II, pg. 102. I couldn't tell from the seller's pictures it was a cherrypick. The listing was for two uncirculated 1963 roosie dimes. I bought the lot for $6.39. CBG lists the DDO at MS63 for $22. Add a nice proof cam dime with it. I was just looking for a dime to add to my folder. I have had luck with finding varieties in Littleton coins. The pics are with the coins in the plastic. I doubt the doubling is even visible in the photo. The coin is labelled as the "Forked-Tail" variety.
I picked these up yesterday along with a few other items. These were the only under $50.00 purchases though. 1925-S Peace Dollar $17.00 1887 Morgan Dollar Which I think will come back as a DMPL $40.00. It has mirrors to die for.
I wish!! Unfortunately it does not have the die markers for the 32. I'll try and attribute it now. I also will be posting a video of the mirrors.
Picked this up for $2 minus the $0.91 face value so I suppose only $1.09 at the LCS. I guess they were glad to get rid of it.
