Why don't you post something that "YOU" collect? Every one of your post is nothing more than a billboard of an item" you"re selling " in "YOUR" "E-Bay store! There quite a few members here who are both dealers and have e bay stores, I don't see them trying to sell in the regular forum, by posting leads to their stores. Especially when there's is options below to post in that part of this site for selling and trading coins and related items. It is very distracting to the members, as well unnecessry to post items for sale in the main forum when a sub forum has been set up to do these transactions.
I'm confused. Did he post a link or something, and then delete it? And I don't see them in the "for sale" section.
No both items posted above are items for sale in his e bay store....each item he post in any thread on the forum is nothing more than a lead to the same item for sale in his store. No items are ever posted to provide any information about the specimen or pertaining to the item other than a lead to the e bay store where it can be purchased. There are several areas other than the main forum to put items up for sale or trade. So my point is his posting of said items are just subliminal messages posted in threads in the main forum....unproductive information for members following a thread . Go to any of his post....and see where it leads
I really like this one!! That reverse has some really cool surfaces going on on each side of the Monticello. It almost looks like paint peeling away.
24 Dollars......weak strike as usual..so no full steps...it doesn't matter, since I love San Francisco coins and especially old Nickels.
Another cool find today hard to image in hand a silver grey crescent with a burst of rainbow at each point of the crescent....typical hammered 81 s with just about a spotless reverse....eagles feathers just pop with sharpness ! Oh and yes under the thread limit.
I never posted a link. I only post a link to a listing in "For Sale" forum. Paddy just has it out for me. The old man has nothing better to do than complain about my posts.
That is NOT true Paddy and you know it. I never post links to items I have listed for sale in my eBay store unless it is in the "For Sale" forum. The reason so many of my posts happen to be listed in my store is cause I list 95%+ of my collection. If I were to only post items that I don't have listed in my store I would barely be able to post any photos. And yes it is my collection although I'm willing to part with most pieces for a certain price. This might blow your mind but there is such a thing as a person that is a Collector AND a Seller! You are the only person on here that has a problem with my posts and complains. Go find something better to do with your time.
First of all my concerns listed in my posted are true...as "Every Item "you post have a direct link to Your E Bay Store! To the item in question. Posting something in this thread at the purchase price paid well below the retail price your're asking is an insult to the members here intelligence. I may have been the only one " so far " to post concerns verbally in the forum,"Trust me" there are plenty of other members here who in private can not believe you get away with it! You do not post items or coins for informational reasons you post them as a lead to your store to sell such items. So basically your're not a collector you're a dealer.... As for my time I will use it as I see fit...Including calling out in the open the facts as to how you use this forum as a billboard to advertise your business as a coin dealer, not collector! If notning else this post will make others aware what you bring to the party "Nada" Just a one way venture to increase your profits by using this forum as your portal to potential customers.
The"old man" is more than happy to wear his age as a badge of experence and honor ,sharing with other that knowledge. He also has no issues here or elsewhere calling an ace a ace.....and a spade a spade. Unless asked here in this forum... to cease and assist by the mods or Peter. Truth here is I struck a nerve exposing it as for what it is.... a dealer not a collector who is using this forum as a paraste uses its host as a free meal or ride!
I suggest you go look up the definition of "direct link". There is NEVER a direct link to one of my listings outside of the For Sale forum. I do have a link to my store in my Signature, but that isn't in the body of the post nor directly to any specific item. I don't think "other members" are too concerned about my posts. If they were they could message me in private and guess what... I have never received such a message. My photos also seem to get many likes so that clearly contradicts what you say. You ever wonder why you are the only one to complain? I would give you the answer but not going to risk getting banned . Last I checked this is an open coin forum. So that is why I post photos of coins (and paper money). Yes, most of my photos happen to be items I have listed for sale in eBay store, so what?
I don't believe there is such a thing as a "free meal or ride". I work pretty hard at everything I do. Although selling collectibles is only part of my income, I think it is self-evident that I take time to research, bid/buy, photograph, make nice photo collages. The last photos you posted here in this thread had poor lighting, glare on the slab, were uncropped, and had a napkin as a background . Basically a lazy and crappy job. Not what you would expect from someone with a badge of "experience and honor". And certainly not the quality of work you expect from someone who is criticizing someone else's photos of superior quality.
