Picked this up today.... you don't see a lot of Nickel Love tokens....so nicely done...SD on the reverse of a host 1904 Liberty nickel The Butterfly was purchased years ago as a gift for my wife...it is also hosted on a Liberty Nickel.
Yesirree! The 200-coin 2001 Mixed P&D Kennedy bag from the Mint costed $135.00. (The grading was free with my NGC membership.) Chris
I neglected to check this seller's negative feedback until I had eagerly clicked on the $15 Buy-It-Now on eBay. Some folks think he artificially tones the coins. This seems like a crazy business model, if true. Why take a perfectly fine coin that is certainly worth more than $15, expend effort on toning it, then sell it at a loss? I don't care, it's darn nice and I like it. So there!
I'm really bad at coin pics. This is a gold toned Peace Dollar I got for $12.00 I know this isn't a toned coin thread...these (and my other post) are some of my more interesting under $50 purchases.
And a Peace Dollar with interesting toning that was $ 22.00. (And, once again please excuse my poor pic skills)
If you like it, then it's worth it. At least to you. I just picked up an item which I'll add to this thread shortly. I have NO IDEA of it's market value. But it was worth every cent I paid for it to me. By the way, I like it too. I'll have to check some other buffalo nickels to see if the mark between the tail feather and the neck is part of the design or a die crack. (Edit - I just saw the 37 and saw the same mark, so it's part of the design,) I get a bit focused on Early Large Cents and forget other coins at times.
