I miss those day's. I wish I had bought a ton when I was a teen. I remember going into coins shops and seeing those kinds of prices. I just didn't put two and two together. Oh, the would'ves, could'ves and should'ves.... LOL
I can't keep track of who does and doesn't attribute around here. On the subject of "Under $50," the below is probably my best. Maybe unfair, because it was close to ten years ago, but if it helps I got three for $45, and this was one of them: Needless to say, I had it slabbed: In the door for $15, out for $550.
I paid $39 which is not exactly a bargain, but I am pretty sure I won't be disappointed when the postman delivers this beauty:
Here we go - I had to edit my picture from the seller... This is what you get for 15.99. It has terrific luster and looks just wonderful in hand. Yours - - should be spectacular.
Gorgeous Standing Liberty. I've come across a few that have been nicely toned that were well circulated. These are not quite as attractive as your's, but I did pay melt for them.
Both of these 1858 Half Dimes were purchased about 10 years ago. Both the seller and I missed the fact that these are the scarcer '1858, over Inverted Date' variety. I only realized this a couple of years later. Paid $ 8-10 for the VF coin and about $ 35 for the AU coin.
