So who do we know in Ga. Who doesn't do varieties.........Ahhh yes Me Lord.....
Thank you Rob making this a two fer Monday!
So what we have here is a very nice example of circam seated half dime, who has a MPD, and an RPD varieties on this specimen.

Then he also included this little ditty an 1861 correct civil war era, h -10, that just so happens to be another RPD.

That makes today not a two fer ....but a 3 fer.....:D thanks Rob

Now lets talk about this h 10.
And the reason being is...see that dot• yeah the dot above the dentical and below the date....there is a variety called 1853 with arrow and dot ,and that variety has a dot• below the 5 in the date.
So what im saying is perhaps theres an 1857 die vaiety un known... that had a dot on the obv. Die. Below the date. @Nathan401

Holy cracker.....you have a very unique item here....a new mpd for 1856.
Ok remember the ● yeah that • is also on tne upper loop of the 8.
And that same loop with the • is in the denticales. @C-B-D @TypeCoin971793
    @Nathan401 :cigar: yeah another discovery.....:jawdrop:

So this is a valentine 3a but he mentions the 9 th star is a flaw , nothing is said about artifact in the denticals or the dots on the die.

Seller images. Purchased several months ago. I didn’t take photos as I usually do because of low value. Will see what I can do tomorrow morning. Thanks to @Paddy54 for the enlightenment!

I’d trust Paddy, don’t listen to me! He knows the series.

Gilbert once you have imaged and posted give me a tag post so i can see the date better. Thanks if it proves to be what i believe it to be ...the coin then is a new find or discovery piece. And you can send it in for attribution.

I don't know much about these coins .
But I did just pickup a 1868 reverse of 68, shield nickel .

    It's a R7, with the reverse rotated 180%

@Paddy54 Can’t say there is a dot there. Maybe a die crack? Your opinion?

Its there....your lighting is off...to bright....as these dont always show up like in your face... sometimes you need a trained eye to spot them... the 76 quarter i just found with the mpd has 3 eights in the denticales....but just the very top of the 8 like a little cap , sometimes these are in the rock or gown ...hunting these has become a fun thing for me...as you just remember the places to look and see whats there, plus in some years and series more so than others. Your coin is in great condition as far as the obv. Details...the rev. Is a soft strike and the coin has also has some sort of reaction as the details and color dont match.
Dont misunderstand its still a nice piece.... and ive had worst myself... i still say its a mpd darker photos and at a slight angle to pick up
