I’m not really a roll searcher, but the new W Mint Quarters have me searching more than a few rolls. Well, found one in a search of 15 rolls, so I guess you can say I got this one for face value!

Nice!! I have not seen ANY 2019 coinage yet, let alone hope to find a W. But I always look.

Got these in change at Starbucks today, first 2019 coins I’ve seen. Makes me all the more impressed by gem classic coinage when I see just how fast these get banged up.

 

My Lowell Quarter was found in a roll of American Memorial Park Quarters

 

None in southern Louisiana either, but that's no surprise.

The 1877 S is the 77 S over Horz. S

 

Forgive me, but does that mean the raised area to the right of the S is a literal horizontal S?

 

Actually I think Paddy is wrong... this time. The mintmark placement isn't right for the S over Horizontal S.

 

Yes from the new image the mint mark isn't correct for the variety. The original image looked as if the underlying s was present....but from the closer view looks to be a die chip.

What the heck is this mess that I just purchased? Counter strike?
Not a typical clash, as the lettering is not reversed.
Thoughts on value and identification of errors will be appreciated.

Looks like a "contrived" error to me.

 

We shall see when I get it. Thankfully I got it on the cheap. I did take into consideration that it may be an overlayed picture (NUM in UNUM looks off), or some other trickery. Worst case scenario, I’m out a couple bucks. Upside is worth it.
