    What’s going on with the eagles tail feathers? Doesn’t quite look like the rev die gouge...but looks like something out of the ordinary.

    I'm not sure. I do see a bit of what appears to be a small die gouge between the tail feathers and the group of arrows. It's certainly not the "Die Gouge" variety, but I wonder if it's the precursor? I'll have to examine it further.

    I was wondering if it's a 7B EDS. I once cherry picked a 7B MDS but ended trading it to someone who is putting together an 88-O set for a spare 1A he had.

    I'll have to check the '88-O. The original question was regarding the '56 Washington Quarter. It has a variety with a large die gouge on the tail feathers.

    I did come across a 7B on Great Collections recently. But I did not bid on it. It was an OGH PCGS MS-64. Do I need to regret not bidding on it?

    They are addicting once you go down that rabbit hole. So think about before you leap. The reason we are called VAMpires is that it will haunt you the rest of your life. :wideyed::)
