1858/7 (LDS), $30 I got this for melt. It is fully lustrous in hand. $12. TDO FS-101 $50. Cracked out of an NGC MS-63 slab.
The increase in value I would receive if I send it in (after grading fees) would be about equal to or less than what I would get if I sold it raw. Thus I decided to not waste my time getting it graded.
Took a lunchtime trip to the LCS. Chatted a bit, then picked this up for $20. Very pretty! Other than the proof that came in my birth year set, this is my first Washington quarter.
Picked this up today. It's an 1879-S reverse of '78. I've been looking for one of these for a while now. I paid $50.00 even for it. It has some nice PL fields. Not sure if it would quite make the designation but they are pretty reflective. She's a full on UNC but on the low end, I'd call it a 61.
Thanks, I just keep stumbling on these. When I was looking through his tray's I saw the reverse and thought "wait a second, I don't remember seeing 1878 on the obverse", that's when I turned it back over to check. Sure enough the 1879 was staring back at me. My heart beat jumped a bit and then I saw the price and set it aside.
Nice original H10C. I think dates with two designs for the denomination have a little added cool factor.
The Half kinda jumps out at ya. I saw it and almost bugged out. My intention is to send it to NGC. I have a ranked 1962 proof set in their registry and all of the coins are 68 Ultra Cameo except the half, which is a 67. I’m hoping that this one will 68 UC. We’ll see.
