I like that note SteveInTampa. I use an old Dell scanner, same issue.

The other day in this thread I posted a new $10 Star Bill from Cleveland District.
Well as fate would have it I found its brother today and bought it for $150
So I wanted to share the pair (Duo) What do you think? Pair of Stars.jpg

Hate to start a new thread just for a note I found in change (even though it has a cool serial number) so I figured I'd post it here as it is a small note...

Those are awesome... I only have two notes with the same serial number, (bought them, didn't find them in circulation).

How do collectors find notes like these with the same numbers? Do they have to have access to straps from the bank and then match them up? Seems like it would be a mathematical impossibility to find two (or more) matching serials in circulation...

Lots of patience, rummaging through lots of dealer lots; and just LUCK most of the time. These from a dealer box, if memory serves.

Shouldn't there be roughly 240 notes of each denomination with the same serial # from each series? 12 districts times about 20 differnt block letters makes 240. It sounded impossible to me too until I figured out the math. Like techwriter said it just takes some time to look around but if you have a cool serial number like the bianary 7 and 0 chances are there's a few people out there who have the same number and that's just from your series and denomination. This is the coolest collection I've seen..and just think there is only 3 of that serial number on a red seal 100 in the world 12294719_10154412697046562_9081420256919373639_n.jpg

    Nevadabell A picture of me.

There are actually 25 different block letters (A-N, P-Y, and *). However, some FRBs have not reached all block letters, for example, A has not made it past N and C has not made it past J. Therefore, about 74 block letter combos remain unused.

That 1966a $100 looks fresh. I'd like to own it.

How does this book compare to the standard catalog of paper money, which covers the world. I assume this has more information?

I think yes :cigar::cigar::cigar::cigar::cigar:Three times 888 this is optimal and I think that even over three is lucky numbers :cigar::cigar:

888 is the luckiest combination of numbers in Chinese numerology , it is regarded as ymbol of furtune and prosperty for thousand of years.:cigar::cigar::cigar::cigar::cigar:
