I sold that half in November. Was a loser for me as j was hoping for a higher grade. That cc quarter is one of the few coins that doesn't fit my sets but I just won't sell I just love the color. Even though it's secondary album toning after an ancient dip

If the luster is all there, I'll bet this is awesome in hand. The reason I added that comment is because of the grade (65) which, in my mind, means strong luster. Just a beautiful piece. I love that obverse. Nicely struck, very interesting toning pattern and just very pleasing to my eyes.

 

Love this proof Bill! I know you're a color guy, but to get a 19th century proof in that condition is very cool to me.

First Year of Issue!

I just bought a couple from them Friday at the Baltimore show. They mark some coins up 500% for toning, but if you're smart and negotiate with them, you can still find some very good deals. They are nice people, too.

 

A bit of a revival needed, so here's a seated quarter that arrived today.

 

Ya' all are leaving me " PIE-EYED".
Might have to do a 70/70, with a couple nice old examples,
