Hey guys, I recently purchased my first Seated coin. An 1853 Half-Dime w/arrows. Young and new collector, but I got to start somewhere! Anyways I love the seated design and would love to see others!
Especially would like to see same date half-dime thru Half dollar and awesome toned seated coins! Thanks

Congrats on your first purchase of a Seated Half Dime. It's a terrific Series in which to start to build a Collection. I would like to caution you about making purchases of " Raw" pieces through venues as EBAY or E-BIDS. As you are new to this fraternity, I'd like to suggest you look at joining a local coin club and also making yourself familiar with two or three local Dealers. This hobby can be rewarding in ways you probably haven't considered yet, but it also can be very discouraging to new comers as yourself in many ways too. Your best armor against this happening is your own personal knowledge and skills. So be patient, and be willing to learn. Patience is Key. Best of luck and hope you have a great time with this hobby.

Thank you for the kind words! I do not plan on purchasing many coins on Ebay, because i have used ebay for a long time with vintage toys and i know the risks involved. Being a student-athlete it is hard to find time to make it to coin shows or even the local coin shop for that matter, since it is closed on Sundays. I try to go to a coin show every other month on Sundays. Seated coins definitely arent going to be my main focus, but I thought they were too cool to not have a couple. Looking forward to expanding my collection and finding one set to truly dive into. Thanks for welcoming me into this community!

I don't have a lot of Seated coins but what I do have I like very much.

Here's probably the least valuable of all my coins - but my Grandfather

pulled it out of change back in the 1930's.
