Here is my Ike Set: http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/publishedset.aspx?s=106530&ac=1 Still a lot of room for improvement, but I'm happy with where it is at right now. Especially since the improvements will cost a pretty penny... Now I just need to get the set photographed!
Our Kennedy halves: Good photos by Todd Pollock http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/alltimeset.aspx?s=46735 All our imaged coins in a Gallery view (including a lot of nice Canadian stuff): http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/MemberImageGallery.aspx?m=5942 Enjoy! Best Regards, :hail: George
Just when I start to feel ok with my coin collection WL and Robec post those cents that words can't describe !!!! All I can say is great job...:thumb:
Thanks so much John Anthony! It's getting awfully tough to upgrade/fill holes ... but one is coming soon! Best Regards, :hail: George
I really like that Winnipeg 100 year dollar. I may have to get one of my own. Thanks for sharing! This is a series I never knew existed.
My Jefferson Nickel set is currently dormant because I just can't find suitable examples for the last 5 remaining dates. Probably all for the best since I don't have money to buy coins anyway. Here is the link to the set and a current photo of the collection. Paul
That makes three of us that would pick that coin. That is of course until you cross your NGC MS66* SMS Lincoln into PCGS plastic.
Hi Lehigh 96, I spent some time this morning admiring your superb Jefferson Nickel collection. You and I obviously think much the same way about coins. The number on the slab is just one data point. Beautiful eye appeal, toning, luster, and overall quality are far more important. It's really admirable the way you have gone to great lengths to talk about many of your coins individually. I notice you mention that the underbidder for the 1941-D in MS67 Star Full Steps "must have been a floor bidder" but there was no floor auction for that session. The underbidder could have bid live via Heritage Live, but there was no physical floor auction, what Heritage calls their Signature Sessions rather than Signature Floor Sessions. A minor point. At any rate, thanks for your passion not only to collecting but to presenting your coins in a splendid way so that all can appreciate their incredible quality. Your presentation gives me something to emulate (further)! Best Regards, :hail: :thumb: George
guess i better put my updated link in here since the old one is no longer around... http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/publ...?s=107423&ac=1
Thank you! I tried to check your set yesterday to no avail ... that's a great set! Up to number 5 already! I love Ikes but decided that 19Lyds had most of the good ones! Too bad I didn't know you had this set when I sold this baby a couple of years ago. One of the prettiest toned coins I've ever owned IMHO. Best Regards, :hail: George
I would have loved to add that coin to my collection. It's still a work in progress, I'm down to the tough coins now, so we'll have to wait and see how much more vertical movement I have on the list in the coming months. Lee has a great collection of Ikes, and I'm happy to have a couple of his Ike's in my set.
Yeah, I think a bunch of us on this thread are in the same boat! But the thrill of the chase is still fresh! Happy hunting! Best Regards, :hail: George
Here is my custom ngc registry set: http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinCustomSetView.aspx?s=12169 As you can tell, there's still a ways for me to go, but I can confidently say that I love every coin in there so far.
They are back!! I just got a whole handful of error nickel dollars back from PCGS, and the showcase set is updated!! Probably the largest set of Canadian nickel dollars out there, I know I am missing a few (e.g., 1985 New Zealand Mule) but, in time... http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/showcase.aspx?sc=1621
