Got this in change from the 7-11 today. There was some tarnish so I scrubbed it off with a Brillo pad. How much is it worth?

    Just kidding. :joyful:

I'll post mine when I get one.

That coin is filthy, has crust and is completely unbefitting of residing in a fine collection such as yours, furthermore it is from that den of inequity, New Orleans which further condemns it.

    En otros palabras

    Love that dirty old gold!

Not many things in numismatics look sillier than a blast white 19th C silver coin.

I can understand blast white 19th C in some cases, like Morgans being stored in bags for decades, but blast white circulation workhorses like Seateds look silly.

Gold, however, did not circulate often because of its high denomination. Because of this it is acceptable to see a blast yellow gold coin. I like dirty gold better though.

    This is just my opinion.

I have a few that are lower than that. My lowest was under 100 known, but I sold that one already

I want to get an 1867-S quarter eagle with 175 known and the 1861-S quarter with 60 known. The 61-S quarter has exploded in value over the past few years and I feel that it is still too low, and is a great buy.
