One orange painted cent .. oh wait, I mean a mint error. Also I get a lot of 2018s. One pictured. In another thread someone just saw one.
Got some change from the store came across a 1966 penny with state of being flat. I thought it was a pretty neat find.
matter of fact that picture makes that 1974 D look like a DD on the date. I might just have to fish it out of the pile I threw it on and take a look .. although it's probably just the lighting.
I know some posters don't get many 2018s. I do ... and some earlier ones. Hey, Look. a 1955 D Doubloon Die @paddyman98 and a 1964 D with a fuzzy beard !! That must be a MINT ERROR.
Looking at pocket change, sometimes I never realized how old it is. In these 3 cents one is 48, 42 and 39 years old. I wonder how many states, bulked up in the bottom of purses, coin jars, etc these have been through ?
Picked this up in my change It has good luster in hand, but now has seen some hefty circulation dings and wear. Put it in a flip and went in the Washington quarter jar and into the dark abyss.
I always look at the wear pattern of the drummer's sleeve and also the metal on the side of the drum that holds the skin down to determine if I will keep it for a while longer.
