I really need to get back to spending cash. I've been on a card swiping kick racking in those rewards points.

But back when I only spent cash, I got this in change for a sandwich in Houston

 

I just gotta say, wow. I have never got any coin like that in pocket change and I am almost 70 years old.

 

I couldn't believe it either. The cashier was a teen, and just handed it over without batting an eye. Made my day for sure.

 

I work at a university and use cash all the time. I always use a $20 for everything I buy just to get a look at the bills and change.

I don't post all my pocket change, but I swear some kids probably grab dad's old stash of change and spend it here. Some of the old stuff I get looks too new to be circulating like it is.

I wish I could raid all the cash registers ...
