Great Pig @Pishpash ... those wild boars are mean little.........

Was around a lot of hogs and a few wild boars growing up.

Here are some of my Pigs:

Sorry - have not re-shot the pics yet, but I love this Victoriatus with a pig device on the reverse...

This is a pretty scarce one to find. Since it was minted under Hannibal, Rome did everything they could to destroy any and all of Capua's coinage they could find after the 2nd Punic War...

This one pissed off the Romans as the 8 Marsic Tribes during the Social War wit Rome made a sacred vow together over a pig.

This is a tough one to get, but represents a solemn oath and to not go back. Samnium, one of the Oath-Takers that was literally obliterated by Sulla at the end of the Social War...

I am so embrassed! I don't have any Ancient "wildboar' coins:inpain: But it was great to see all of your material, better then going to the museum. I salute all of you for your fantastic posts.
Not to be left out entirely/ I have to resort to cheating....here is a Rococco Era "boar" coin, from my home Coyuntry....
