. . . . goes to show the diversity of collectors... I prefer my silver to be blast white, though have a few toned. I'd have this one dipped.. just being honest
I'm working on my third set—but I have only ONE of the higher priced 1928Ps, and only one 1921. Eventually I'll remedy that. I won this @ ebay yesterday (seller's photos):
@Tonkawa Bill I'm glad you like Peace dollars, they are Fun coins! Finding a naturally toned Peace dollar is MUCH more difficult than finding a NT Morgan dollar. FYI, your 1922 is artificially toned.
Interesting date for sure since the US Mint didn't make any in 1920. It is a Daniel Carr fantasy overstrike. He made the dies to the original "Broken Sword" reverse design and struck them over authentic 1922-1935 Peace Dollars.
Believe it or not, this Peace Dollar has cartwheel luster despite its "charcoal" appearance. This thing looks wicked.....
My only one is this sad 1923 with damage great luster nice strike great detail but that damage on the wing still happy to have it and didn’t pay the price on the flip
