Goodness, Lance. That is a BEAUTIFUL 1934-S. Personally, I would be completely happy with it, but my wallet wouldn't. For me, it's a dream coin. Is that a Lighthouse Everslab holder, dwiz? Looks nice.
Peace dollars are ok. Remember them as a kid, so there's that.Three are valuable, and the rest are generally lower cost collector buys. Have fun.
I had never heard of that before, though it's a plausible hypothesis with its beginnings coming after WWI and during the Treaty of Versailles. It's more likely a callback to the Latin language. The letter "U" is really the letter "V" in Latin. (Though it should be noted, "TRVST" =/= trust in Latin. "TRVST" is not an actual word in any language). I would wager it's more of a preference in style than having the "V" standing for anything, though I could be wrong.
Those 2 are my favorite, though all of the ones you posted are outstanding. Some booming luster and elegant subtle toning on many of them. Great pieces!
Lucky. I never have anyone to inherit from and I am sure someone will inherit my stuff. But Nice to have a 28. I am working on my Peace dollar set and this is one of missing one.
I've had this one for a while. It has a lot of luster, not the easiest coin to capture a good picture of:
