I looked but could not find a pattern thread. I'll start but I will say I have posted these coins on cointalk before. The first four coins are coinfacts example coins (the fifth is coming from heritage soon)
Some examples of my pattern collection Here's my collection of world pattern coins: http://gxseries.com/numis/pattern/pattern_coins.htm
That's quite the collection you have there, Vegas Vic! I've been aching to see the Eliasberg in real life.
Vic, where do you purchase your patterns some? I've been having trouble finding a site that has a good variety of them (not that I could afford much of any pattern right now at any rate).
One from Amanda at a show. Few from ebay. Couple from heratige. The positive about heratige is there are tons of them available non auction. Just search for a specific Judd and some are flagged for sale by owner. The downside is you usually have to pay a couple hundred higher then the sale price. The only coins I have ever bought this way were all coinfacts example coins. Otherwise to me it is not worth the extra cash
Is this also a German pattern coin? It is a 1913 5 mark design by Mr. Goetz & it is not the design that was adopted for use. At first glance, I originally saw the eagle as a griffin animal. Post 'em if you got 'em.
