    When I started collecting Krugerrand’s
it was just to celebrate certain life
    events, birthdays, graduations, Anniversaries..Etc

Now I want them all..LOL, on the birthdays have 3-4 taken care of

Chris is my oldest born in 1982
Mintage that year is pretty common
    over 5 million

Randy is my middle son born in 1989
mintage that year is just over 199,000
a fairy tough date, was able to secure
    that one recently.

My youngest son Branden born 1991
mintage that your was only 42,000
that’s insane that I was able to find
that one next to impossible !!

My daughter Ashley was born in 2001
only 11,452 almost as rare as a proof !
    still looking for that one.

Select date Krugerrand’s are very tough
I have 3 different coin shops on the look
out and I check 5 different sites daily
    as well as the ebay.

Premiums can be very high in some years just because there not out there
the rand refinery made even more difficult as they stopped releasing mintage data after 2013.

This Rostock AV Dukat 1796 was one of 200 struck in that year. Imagine the cost of a US gold coin with that low mintage from late 1700s. THat one cost me 5K euros a bargain for such a rarity. 1d9c02f267de5e92474b8809cfaba041 (2).jpg

I think it was on Dutch provincial Dukats. To have a complete collection would be unaffordable even for Musk/ Bezos.
    I have around 500 of them/ here are a few.... 77a7023ddff92ec7f162b2a8434e778d.jpg f5d2ab03ca76e995b53be1c4294754c4.jpg 3f924b4b8972a9c00015038c12bc498c.jpg 55d6934dfa1aa306114a2f60180c93c8.jpg afdb07c72559c09ed00d25063ed0c4ce.jpg
