There are some really nice coins in this thread. Nice to see so CT'ers appreciate the old coppers.

I don't have many new ones (at least worth showing), so here two more which I have shown before.
The 1795 1/2 C is ex Norweb. I managed to get 3 coins from their incredible collection back in 1988.

I really like those dragon slayer bank tokens & the history of them. I have the penny and half penny - very affordable coins, and a great design IMO.

I love the large cents too, but I started looking at foreign coins as a way to maximize my collecting enjoyment and my available allowance. This coin is a Proof Pattern NGC 65 RB, picked it up for a little over 200.

Man, ikandiggit, I owe you a big thanks. I was unfamiliar with this token, and your fine example prompted a bit of research on my part this morning.

What an interesting coin, with an interesting history as mackwork said.

I think I might just have to add a couple of those to my collection. They are insanely cool.

Yep -it does indeed have an interesting history. The penny and half penny I got on Ebay aren't quite as good a grade as yours, but they were only $5 and $4. Nice price for an old coin, and that penny is a big size - almost as big as a silver dollar. Impressive coins in my opinion.

Thanks for the kudos, everyone! This one I probably paid $15 or so. I've been offered triple that but I haven't found one as nice for the price.:D

Sorry guys - but I am not going to hit like on every coin in this thread. All are nice in their own way. I have a few old coppers around some where - here is a date not posted yet. :)

Nice, Mark. I don't have one. Missing two, including the '99. Some day, maybe.

It's really not pink, is it?
