1879 S MS 63 1887 MS 64 You all know I take bad pics, plus I didn't want to spend a lot of time doing it right now.
I picked up my own copy of the ANA Grading Standards as a gift to myself a week or two ago as well, and I'm quite happy with it.
From my Parents, 1880-S MS 65 PL 1884-CC MS 64 1921 MS 64 1940 MS 65 1942 MS 65 1945 MS 65 2009 Silver Proof Set
Your parents picked a nice looking 65 PL Louielot is having a white Christmas (bright white BU that is). Nice coins.
I did pretty damn well I think. A MS61 Gold Dollar 1788 Spanish Colonial graded AU53: Some of that stuff in the photos is scuffs on the slap, its pretty beat up. And surprise from my grandmother, she rocks! Shame it has the scratch though and it is raw :rolling: Three great coins, I cant complain!
No new rifle or Safari trip this year, but I did get a new addition to my World Silver collection. Not a Tiger you can hunt but a beautiful 2010 Tiger from Austrailia.
Here's the one I been waiting for for around 3 or 4 months. I bought myself 2 more coins for Xmas but my wife got me this buffalo. Of course I had to go thru the trouble of ordering off of ebay, but that was the most fun I've had in a long time.
Only a couple gifts under the tree for me, but my wife really surprised me with one! This is a coin I thought I would never own. Straight to the bank vault tomorrow. Merry Christmas - Be Safe!
I don't have any pictures (that will have to wait until I get a new/good camera) but I received a D.C. & US Territories proof set, and they are frosted quite nicely, easily cameo quality, maybe even UCam, though I'm admittedly not the best at making the distinction just yet.
Thanks RickieB - Yes I do and I hug her every chance I can get! We shocked our son with tickets for Sundays game - it was priceless to see his reaction. And then I opened my gift and had the same reaction. The picture of my eyes wide and jaw open would have been something to see!
Since I am just beginning this wonderful hobby I got the following. 2010 Red Book 2X2 Coin Holders A Triplet 10X-21MM magnifier with a nice leather case. That makes looking at the coins clear as a bell. Merry Christmas to all on this forum. Wornslick
Souns like nice starting equipment! Wish I had a 21X glass... Welcome to the forum! These are my numismatic gifts: A photo booth for diluted light pictures of coins A Silver Canadian Dollar And Franks book it isn't here yet, but they told me about it. And apparently it's coming signed. Can't say I didn't kinda set this one up... Pictures with the new setup:
Nice photo booth. :thumb: I got a 2010 Kookaburra for my set and a 1986 MS Statue of Liberty silver dollar commem. Oh yeah, and I got Don C Kelley's National Bank notes book. And A LOT of other non-numismatic stuff. Got a portable XM/Sirius satellite radio which will see a lot of use. Looks like some good stuff out there guys!
For the first time since I gave up US coins, I got a numismatic present! I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon working on them. Apparently, there was supposed to be a fifth, but the buyer couldn't find the coin. So he sent a refund, along with about 30 lower grade imitations! THAT was the big surprise.
