There's something about the area you live, in my college days I dated a Ga. Peach! Many a weekend was spent in Savanna down on River street . Also over on Hilton Head island . Love the Low country .

Today I finally found a 1950-D from pocket change. This one seems to have had a long road before finding me.

Wow! It might be a scuzz-monster, but... a 1950-D! Impressive. Most got hoarded, as you probably know, so the odds of finding one in circulation were always rather slim, and... 67 years later... well... that's pretty amazing.

I can't say as I've ever seen a circulated 1950-D Jefferson before, come to think of it. They've all been UNCs.

Now that you have the toughest one out of the way, you should get an album or folder and try to assemble the whole series, strictly from circulation finds. I am working on such a folder. Have never found a '39-D or '50-D, but I think if you added up all my change finds over the past 30-40 years, I've probably gotten every other Jefferson date in circulation.

My first true "top pop" even though it's a variety. It's a PROOF variety VP001 1/1 over date 1883 Liberty Proof.

I keep telling you that great minds think alike!!!

    Very pretty!!!

I wonder if anyone realizes these are actually Barber designs? I think the world has forgotten this!

This is actually his first official US coin.

The stains on the reverse are glue residue.
