Just found this in my change, the mint mark looks interesting , to me, but I didn't find any varieties listed. 48s 1-horz.jpg

Found another old one in change, it's even older than me:eek: 40 5c 1-horz.jpg

Older than me too. Guess that makes it an ancient coin.

Finished my circulated set of Liberty Nickels this year - now on the hunt for an MS grade and a Proof to fill the last holes as pristine examples.

The liberty nickel is one of my favorite proofs.

nice set, I never got around to getting the 1885, instead I picked up #2 1886, and #4 1912 S's.

I actually picked up 2 in one day (lucky me or broke me - either way). I had made an offer on Ebay that I thought would expire - as I was at my LCS - I found a nice VF PCGS that I picked up that day, as I was on my way home - I got the "ping" from Ebay that he accepted my offer on a AG grade - so I followed through and paid for it - and that is the one that I cracked out to put into the collection. It's probably the ugliest one in the whole set too. I just couldn't bring myself to add a VF to this collection of lowball circulated nickels. :)

I have the higher end one put away for a rainy day. Maybe that's the next registry set I start. :)

Found this in my change, it looked interesting, but it wasn't the die crack. Just the over all appearance, not sure if it's me or something else. 16 5c 1-horz.jpg

Picked this one up today Not as I needed another 41 D but the luster and color was worth having it. That line is on the slab not the coin. Reverse rotation 3-5 degrees 1941 D Jefferson LP6631 b.jpg
