I hope I did this right - first attempt posting on the board! This is a 1910 graded MS62 by PCGS. I love the light gold surfaces!
Haven't bought a V nickel in 25 yrs. This is really a nice lustrous MS64 IRL. sorry for the horrible pics.
It's worth a second look. It looks like a dateless Buffalo nickel. In large quantities they can go for 10-15 cents each, from what I've seen, although some people will tell you it's worth only 5 cents.
So this album has a cool backstory. There is an LCS here that has a bin of unwanted coin folders, usually occupied by the usual Whitman coin folders. One day this little gem was in there - a Wayte Raymond album. I already have two Wayte Raymond pages for my higher grade Liberty Nickels, but this album was too cool to leave empty. So I decided to fill it with a low grade set. These were nickels that I either had extras of or cost $1 or $2, so the easy ones have been mostly filled. Although none of these are in great shape, one of the fun things about nickels is how much they were used in circulation. It is neat to think of how many hands they might have passed through.
Love it Paddy, a very cool and relatively affordable variety with a nice spread. I sold a very nice one of those last year.
After finding another reference the pups shows me it's the FS 801. Nice find in one of my favorite slabs .
